Best friends with Asou Hiroyoshi. Third runner for the men's relay team for Class 2-C and was part of the horse team with Mikoto and Asou. Seems a bit jealous of Asou's luck with the ladies. He resembles Hanamichi Sakuragi from the basketball manga and anime Slam Dunk, particularly in the hairstyle aspect.

Jin Kobayashi has mentioned that there is resemblance of himself in Suga, more so than in Harima.
