Tithonus was born a human and the son of the King and Queen of Troy. One day the Titan Goddess of the Dawn, Eos, under the spell of being cursed by Aphrodite to forever be attracted to handsome men, saw the prince and was immediately captivated by him, she took him to her home, to keep him as a lover, despite already being married to the dusk god, Astraeus.
