He is a high schooler who is always seen cleaning and making offerings to the sacred hot spring where it is thought to be the place where the hot spring spirit resides, until one day when one of his offerings dropped into the pool and suddenly Hakone rose from it.

He has a huge crush on Haruna, that he would often make offerings and pray to the hot spring spirit to get closer to her.

His family runs a manjuu shop.
