Toshizou Hijikata

The second-in-command of the Shinsengumi and is a hot-blooded man.

He has a hostile attitude toward foreigners and has challenged them to a number of fights, but has been defeated by their rational warfare methods. However, he is a skilled swordsman and does not hold back in his training. He is admired for his bravery. He is somewhat twisted and often clashes with the straightforward Souji Okita.

He is modeled on the real-life character Toshizou Hijikata.
